Resources & Trading
Supporting Indonesian companies engaged in coal and palm oil trading, and local businesses in mineral resources and biofuels.
We represent Indonesia's leading companies. Each one passes our credit assessment and due diligence before we present it to Japanese corporates and financial institutions. The result is a shortlist decision-makers can act on, and a foundation for strategic partnerships between the two countries.
Listed and high-quality private companies seeking growth capital, market access and synergy with Japanese partners.
Pre-screened investment opportunities and strategic proposals for companies considering market entry, investment or M&A in Indonesia.
Listed Japanese companies are cautious with proposals from parties they do not know. Who is this? What is the basis for what they are saying? Is it in a form that can go to the board? Until those gaps are filled, negotiation on terms does not begin. Indonesia has many companies with strong technology and customer bases that are stopped at exactly this entrance. We exist to open it.
We negotiate with Japanese management in their own language and business customs, without agents or interpreters. What Japanese companies guard against most is a counterparty they cannot see. We remove that concern with the first letter.
We go to the sources ourselves: earnings releases, supplementary materials, primary reporting, government surveys. Inference is kept clearly apart from fact. Where we do not know, we say so.
Entity formation, licensing, location, partner screening, due diligence. We fill in the parts the counterparty worries about most, before they have to ask.
Deals that are not publicly tendered are exactly where we bring a blueprint. Market data, investment plan, roll-out roadmap and supply chain, assembled into a proposal built to pass the counterparty's internal approval.
PT. Japan Bridge Asia was established in Jakarta in 2021. Its founder has been building and operating businesses in Indonesia since 2011, in logistics, construction and energy, working directly with Indonesian and international clients. That operating experience, not just advisory distance, is what we bring to every engagement. Our principle is simple: understand every need before proposing anything.
We act as our clients' partner. First, we take the time to understand what each client actually needs. Then we bring the right solution, backed by know-how earned on the ground. Trust is the foundation; from there we solve problems together and create new value.
We have worked with a broad range of clients inside and outside Indonesia, supported by a team that knows how business is actually done here. Field experience and an extensive local network let us deliver reliably and to a high standard.
Indonesia is a market of roughly 280 million people. Rapid urbanisation, an expanding middle class and rising digital adoption have made it one of the region's most important consumer economies.
It is also rich in coal, palm oil and mineral resources, and its economy now spans manufacturing, services, IT and finance. Interest in Indonesian M&A from Japanese, Western and Asian companies continues to grow year on year.

Indonesia has its own rules: foreign ownership limits, business licensing, labour law, taxation and anti-bribery compliance. We act as agent for companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange and for high-quality private companies, and we advise foreign investors on business strategy and on realising synergies once a deal is done.
